One of my favourite occasions for cardmaking is when someone is celebrating a birthday. Fun…bright….happy! Love it! For this card I simply added strips of washi tape to a piece of cardstock and then ran it through my bighshot using a framelits from the Chalk talk framelits. It is looking quite gloomy outside today so I might add a bit of ‘happy’ to my day by making some birthday cards in my studio. Enjoy your weekend!
Products used for this card include:
Sketched Birthday stamp set
Gingham garden washi tape
Oh- I just found these shots of my kids from Book Week 2013. The kids dressed up as the Fantastic Four. I enjoy dress ups for the kids- but I love it even more when it is EASY to prepare their costumes. The number 4s on the kids chests were cut out in a matter of minutes using felt and my Bigshot. I just love it when I can use my Stampin’ Up! supplies for a number of different projects…not just cards, scrapbook pages and gift giving!
Here is my Christmas Card for 2013. Yes- I know….I know…Christmas was months ago but I’ve just been sifting through photos on my computer and wanted to share this anyway! Perhaps it may even give you some ideas for Christmas this year. Why not Pin it on Pinterest for later in the year!?
I always feature a photo of my kids on my Christmas card and then I usually add stamped images and other embellishments. It can be a time consuming process when I have loads of cards to create…thank goodness I love it so much.
This year I used My Digital Studio to create my card. I had to print off photos anyway so figured I may as well add some embellishments digitally seeing as I have My Digitial Studio at my fingertips. I had the main area printed and then adhered the images to my Stampin’ Up! cardstock. Voila!

Here’s a card I made for my gorgeous husband recently.

One of my favourite tools I used on this card was the Scalloped Tag Topper punch from the Occasions Catalogue. You can purchase this punch in my online store. The idea is to make fun tags with these but I chose to punch both the top and bottom for my card. My kids have even used my punch to make bookmarks for themselves.
Another fun tool I used on the card was the White Stampin’ chalk Marker for a fun chalkboard effect. These are available for only $5.95
If you haven’t already- please view the gorgeous items and projects you could make in the Occasions catalogue. Simply click on the catalogue cover on the right hand side and then head on over to my online store.

As part of the gifts for my children’s teachers, I decorated some tins of biscuits. I loved the old style map on the tins. I thought the biscuit tins would be great for storing pencils or other stationery supplies once the sweet treats were eaten.
I simply covered the existing tag on each tin with my own little tag. The stamped greeting is from “Chalk Talk” (available through my online store- click on image) I just love the matching framelits for this set!
The paper bows were so simple to make using my Gift Bow Bigz L Die and my bigshot
It is so refreshing seeing flowers starting to bloom- one of those things I love about Spring. I wish I was more of a ‘green thumb’ but alas I seem to do better with paper flowers than I do the real thing. Speaking of paper flowers, did I show you my cascading card made with the “Secret Garden” Stamp set?
If you are interested in the “Secret Garden” stamp set- please click on the following image to view it in my online store.
To make life easier there is even a set of “Secret Garden” Framelits so you can cut out the flowers using your Bigshot rather than cut them by hand.
