It is quite a warm Australia Day today- Right now it is even too hot to go swimming- is that even possible? I will definitely take the kids for a swim in the pool later before we have our Aussie BBQ!
In the meantime, while Luke is having a nap- I thought I would hang out in my little room (which has been dubbed “the tardis”) and get creative. Today I thought I would work on a page for the Online Journalling 101 Course which officially starts today. I chuckled to myself as I pulled out the photos as they are photos of our holiday to New Zealand in 2007. One would think it would be more apt to create an Aussie scrapbook page on Australia Day. Don’t forget- It is not too late to join in- although the 12 week course starts today you can work at your own pace. Unfortunately I can’t share what I’m doing on my blog- You’ll need to be a part of the course to see the pages!
I can however, share a card I made using 3 of the “in-colours” Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi and Soft Sky- plus the very versatile and my current favourite- “Kraft” cardstock. The beautiful ribbon pictured in this card is from the Spring Mini- which means it is no longer available. I wish I had bought more while I still had the opportunity. Speaking of while there is still the opportunity don’t forget that Sale-a-bration ends in just over 4 weeks. After that time those stamp set won’t be available. I have made use of TWO of the SALE-A-BRATION sets available until the end of February. One is “Botanical Blooms” which is a 2 step stamping set and also “Congrats” I thought the sentiment would be perfect for a friend who was married in New Zealand quite recently- must drop it in her letterbox soon!
Happy Australia Day Everyone!
