Here’s a sneak peek of some of my layouts featured on the blog.  To view the full layout and each article- please click on each sneak peek! Enjoy!

Tea parties and Weddings

Oh my- I have had such a busy week or so- In the first part of the week I was out lots and my poor husband was worried he may forget what I looked like.  During the second part of the week we got some time together to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary and we also had a really lovely time at a Wedding yesterday.

Here is the card I made for the bride and groom.  I had no idea what the bridal party would be wearing and was so rapt to see the beautiful bridesmaids wearing a lovely blue that reminded me of the colours I had used in the card.  Don’t you love it when things work out like that!?

I have used the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper and a stamp from “Frames with a Flourish” and “Occasional Greetings”   It is a trifold card/ gatefold card – which I find hard to photograph- but I hope you get the idea.

Here’s a little box I made using the Tea Party Designer Series Paper.  I love the soft pretty colours in this pack.   I have also added some of the So Saffron Ribbon– which is one of the ribbons that is available for FREE when you order at least $100 worth of Stampin’ Up! products.  The fabulous ribbon bundle special finishes at the end of September- which means that you only have a few days to get in touch with me if you would like to take advantage of the special offer.

Spend $100 on Stampin’ Up products and you receive the following bundle FREE.  These ribbons are not part of the normal range however similar rolls of ribbon in the catalogue are $14.95 each.  This means I would estimate the ribbon bundle to be valued at least $30!   What great value- Please get in touch if you would like to place an order and receive these FREE ribbons (08) 90917655

I had a special little visitor to my garden this week (actually not MY garden-I don’t have a green thumb-  but my parents’ garden has a section filled with lovely SPRING FLOWERS)   Can you see my little visitor hiding amongst the flowers? Isn’t she sweet?

I conducted a workshop this week and one of the guests was kind enough to bring her little creation along…..made with the lovely “Sweet Always” Designer Series Paper.  I was rapt that Kim let me bring home her little creation so I could photograph her in the garden and share her with you all! Thank Kim! You are so creative!

Spring Mini Delights

Here are a couple of cards I have made using some items from the Spring Mini Catalogue.  I have used the”Great Friend” stamp set and “Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper” for both cards.

For this first card I also added the gorgeous Curduroy Buttons in Kiwi Kiss.  I just love the texture and the way that they add that little something extra.   As you can see this card was for a friend who recently celebrated her 30th Birthday.  The ’30’ on the card are the on-board chipboard numbers which have been coated in Supernova glitter and a layer of Crystal Effects.  We had such a wonderful time helping her celebrate her birthday.

For this card the base was a Baja Breeze Carousel note and I used the same technique for adding a bit of bling to the chipboard number.

Did you notice that both cards feature some lovely ribbon?   Just a couple of ways you could use some ribbon on your own projects.  Don’t forget to get your qualifying order to me before the end of September to receive TWO FREE Rolls of ribbon (please see the previous entry for further details)

Well I hope you have enjoyed these bright spring projects.  I must get off my computer and get some packing done.  We are off to the closest coastal town to spend a weekend with a very special friend.

That may sound like a lot of ribbon- but it is such a versatile product.  I shared a few ideas for using ribbons with my newsletter subscribers.  If you are not already newsletter subscriber- you can subscribe using the link on the right hand side!
So what could you order that would go with the ribbon bundle?
Certainly Celery is one of those lovely greens that seems to suit an assortment of colour combinations in each of the colour families.
So Saffron features heavily in the catalogue.
Walk in the Park Designer Series paper (from the Spring Mini)
Haiku DSP
Sweet Slumber Speciality Designer Series Paper
Washington Apple DSP
Windsor Knot DSP
Petal Party Simply Scrappin’ Kit
Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin’ Kit
So Saffron Patterns Designer Series paper
My pick would be the Tea Party Designer series paper contains both certainly celery and so saffron.
I assembled the following gift bag using the “Tea Party” Designer Series paper.  In this case- I actually used Regal Rose Grograin ribbon, however the Certainly Celery OR So Saffron ribbon would have been just PERFECT!
