In a few short hours I will be boarding the plane headed for Sydney for the Stampin’ Up! Convention. I’M SO EXCITED!
There is so much to look forward to- but one of things that is high on my list is attending the Manager’s Conference that is tomorrow night. I received a special invitation in the mail from Stampin’ Up!
I’m sure I will have lots to tell upon my return….but right now I need to jump off this computer and finish packing my bags!
If you would like to place any orders while I am away- the best way to get in touch will probably be via E-mail. I am unlikely to have access to my E-mails while I am away but I will be happy to process them when I return. firstname.lastname@example.org
It is time for the Stampamemory Creative Challenge. This month- Ros asked us to ‘think outside the square’ and challenged us to create a ‘shaped’ layout. For full details of this challenge please visit the stampamemory blog
Ros is so creative with stuff like this but I must confess that I wasn’t sure where to start with her latest challenge. Yes- I know I know! It IS called a CHALLENGE for a reason! I tend to be mostly a 12 x 12 scrapper and if I deviate from that it is normally still a square shape. (eg mini album or 6×6 or 8×8 scrapbook layout) Due to the albums I store my pages in I decided that whatever shape I used for my layout I was going to ensure that it still fitted on a 12 x 12 cardstock base so it would fit nicely in my albums. It was my plan to photograph my layout and then secure it to cardstock later but the base was too flimsy- so please just pretend that it isn’t secured to a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock. :-)
As you can see I ended up ‘playing it safe’ and kept things simple. The shape of my layout was inspired by Stampin’ Ups top note die! I’m sure you have plenty of great ideas for a ‘shaped’ layout so I look forward to seeing your entry in this fortnight’s challenge!
I’m back! Did you miss me? Well actually I haven’t been anywhere special since my last blog entry- I have just been INSANELY busy! To be honest I’m feeling a bit stressed and overwhelmed by how hectic it has been lately with more adventures ahead……but hopefully things will start to settle down soon. I’m sure you can all relate to feeling like this from time to time.
I’m really sorry but I simply haven’t had time in the past few weeks to keep my blog up-to-date nor run any classes in my home. I have had the best of intentions I have just been really time poor. I am very excited to be heading off to Sydney in a few days time for the STAMPIN’ UP Convention. It is a great opportunity to liase with other demonstrators from all over Australia (and even New Zealand) It is all about- Training, friendships, swaps, new products and ideas and even an Awards Night/ Banquet thrown in for good measure! I will have lots to share about that when I return. At the moment I just need to try and get myself organised so I can start getting excited! So much to do and so little time!
For those who have been eagerly waiting for my newsletter I promise I will attend to that shortly after I return from Sydney.
Today I just wanted to show you a quick Mother’s Day card I whipped up for my Mum last week. I also recently met some lovely ladies who made a variation of this card at an in-home workshop. I have used the gorgeous FIFTH AVENUE FLORAL stamp set as well as the practical “Occasional Greetings” stamp set. The colours featured on the card are Taken with Teal, Melon Mambo Rich Razzleberry and Kraft
Please be sure to check back tomorrow. The next Stampamemory scrapbooking challenge starts tomorrow and I have my project to share with you
