Ooops! I’ve just realised a week has passed since my last blog entry. I was on a roll there for a while with a post everyday! I have a good reason though- I’ve been working on another little project…. Here’s a link if you’re interested!
Tomorrow- I’ll be back with something craft! I promise!
Thanks for checking back today to view my Scrapbook layout. Here are my 4 little darlings The photo is a little old but I don’t scrap in chronological order so I’m OK with that! It is just nice to have a little moment in time captured in the photo and displayed on the layout.
The base of the layout is Kraft oops Crumb Cake. I thought I would be used to the new name by now! I made my own patterned paper (The panel on the left hand side) using “Extreme Elements” Stamp set and this allowed me to select colours that matched the colours in the photo….it is one of the advantages I love about using stamps on scrapbooking layouts!

STAMP SET: Extreme Elements, Word Play
BIG SHOT and Accessories: Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet

The following card was inspired by the colour on the gift box …..A special card for a lovely friend……Here’s my butterfly card made with Basic Black, Bravo Burgundy and Blushing Bride plus a bit of the lovely Crumb cake!

Please check back tomorrow!!! It has been such a long time since I’ve shared a scrapbook layout…so I promise I’ll share one tomorrow!
I’m really enjoying my BIG SHOT and you can tell just by looking at the wear and tear on my cutting plates. One of my favourite dies is the “Top Note Die” This die is EXCLUSIVE to Stampin’ Up! so the only place you are able to purchase it is through demonstators like myself. I used the Top Note Die to create a cute little box. This box has been made using the GREENHOUSE GALA designer series paper. I can definitely see myself making more of these and it will be possible to ‘change the look’ using different types of designer series paper
The “scallop circle punch” and “Build a brad” were used to make the flower on the front of the box. The leaves have been punched using the “Two step bird punch”
I have a few of my SECOND HAND stamp sets remaining- and I am keen to see them go to new homes before I start packing up my house to move….

It goes without saying that the gorgeous ORNAMENT punch is just divine for Christmas cards and gift packaging but what about the rest of the year?
I stumbled across a couple of ideas where people have used the punches to create “punch art”. I don’t normally do a lot of “punch art” but I was inspired to try out a few of the ideas.
Can you spot the ornament punch in the following card?
The fins and tails were created using the five petal flower punch and the kissing lips using the heart to heart punch. A cute card like this need a fun greeting so the stamp from “Word Play” seemed the perfect choice. The stamped bubbles were created using the “Circle Circus” Stamp set.
Can you spot the ornament punch in the following card? Isn’t it cute?
Where has the year gone? Yesterday my 8 year old told me how many days there were left until Christmas. I wanted to block my ears and sing “LaLaLaLa” There’s so much that needs to be done between now and the end of the year. The house we’re building should be finished by early next year and there’s lots of ‘hands on’ stuff we need to do ourselves. We also need to put our current house on the market. It is a crazy time of the year without all of this extra stuff.
Now speaking of deadlines- we’re almost half way through November which means that you only have a couple of weeks to take advantage of the great November special.
One of the bundles that is available is the “Gifted Bundle” which includes the “Gifted” stamp set and the “Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper”. When you purchase this bundle you can select a roll of ribbon for FREE. There are 4 designs you can pick from and one of the choices is the Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon.
I have used the “Gifted” stamp set to make a quick and easy set of tags. Just a little bit of the Jolly holiday designer series paper on each tag finishes it off nicely.
I made a super easy box using my big shot and popped the gift tags inside.
How easy is it to just run the cardstock through the bigshot and then fold and assemble the box? Now I must confess that when I made this I had run out of “Cherry Cobbler” cardstock which is the cardstock that matches the Jolly Holiday paper. I used “Real Red” instead. It ended up being one of those situations that worked out perfectly because it meant that the FREE REAL RED polka dot ribbon that I tied around the box was the perfect match.
The ornament punch (which is available in the “Delightful Decorations Bundle”) made for a quick and easy adornment for the front of the box!
If you would like to order one of these bundles and receive your free ribbon then please contact me as soon as possible to avoid disappointment
One of the “Christmas bundles” you can order to receive your FREE roll of ribbon is the “Welcome Christmas bundle” You have the choice of ordering the clear mount set OR the wood mount stamp set. This bundle includes the lovely “Welcome Christmas” stamp set as well as the “Christmas Cocoa Speciality Designer series paper” (which is only available during this promotion and is not in the Idea Book and Catalogue)
I have not seen the paper in real life yet but I have been told it is just beautiful with gorgeous flocked designs.
I have used the “Welcome Christmas” stamp set to create the following Christmas card. I used the markers directly on the wreath stamp so that I could use several different colours in the one stamped image. I later stamped out the word ‘joy’ and then cut the letters out using paper snips so that I could place them on top of the wreath.
I just LOVE the beautiful embossed image in the bottom right hand corner. It reminds me of our little family tradition of the youngest child placing the Christmas Angel on top of the Christmas tree.
Stamp Sets: Welcome Christmas, En Francais, Perfect punches
Colours: Garden green, Real Red, More Mustard, Whisper white
OTHER: Big shot and top note die, scallop circle punch, circle punch, real red grograin ribbon, clear embossing powder.
