Do you want a half price bigshot?

The BIGSHOT makes life ‘oh so easy’ sometimes!

I wanted to make some ‘party favours’ for my youngest’s birthday!  His birthday was less then 2 weeks before we moved house and with so much happening at that time I simply didn’t have time for lolly bags that were too fussy to make! I wanted them to look nice though!   So out came the bigshot and the milkcarton die! 

I just whizzed the cardstock through the bigshot and not only did it cut out the template for the milkcarton- it also added the score lines as well! This obviously makes assembly super simple!  All that was needed was some STICKY STRIP to hold the base closed, a stamped image to decorate the sides- I used the very fitting “Make a monster” stamp set- and a mini library clip for the top of the carton!

Notepad Cover

Here’s a little notepad cover I made using the “Playdate” Designer Series Papers (retiring at the end of this month) and the gorgeous little owl punch!  The letters were created using my BIGSHOT Due cutting machine and the “Timeless Type Junior alphabet”

Retired papers

Don’t you love it when the patterned paper does all the work for you!? This is a card I made some time ago and the pack of paper I used has already retired (and therefore no longer available) but I still wanted to share it on my blog.   I just wanted to show how your cards don’t need to be complicated.  For this card I simply cut out a section of the patterned paper.  I obviously wanted the plane to be the main feature (because the card recipient loves planes :-) ) 

I simply layered it on a few pieces of cardstock in co-ordinating colours and added a greeting and a chipboard shape to highlight the age of the card recipient! Easy peasy!

Now the fact that this card features “retired paper” reminded me of the fact that I need to let you know that ALL the patterned paper packs from the current catalogue are retiring on the 31st of August- unless they sell out beforehand!   It is exciting that this means that the new patterned paper packs are on their way….but please be sure to check that you have everything you want and need from the current catalogue before it is too late.  I have lost count of the number of times my lovely customers have wanted a certain pack of paper from our lovely catalogues but it is no longer available! Don’t let that be YOU this time!

Baby tees

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is being able to receive a sneak peek of the products shortly before the official release date.  Demonstrators are even able to order some items in advance.  I have the new catalogue and some brand new products on their way to me and I’ve been checking my letterbox several times a day hoping that the posting may have been!   I just can’t wait!

To keep myself distracted I thought I’d show a couple of cards that I made some time ago but didn’t get a chance to share on my blog…. Here are a couple of baby cards for you! :-)

IT’S TIME TO SAY GOOD-BYE

With the official release of the 2011-2012 IDEA BOOK AND CATALOGUE at the beginning of September- it is now time to ‘say goodbye’ to the 2010-2011 Catalogue and HUNDREDS of items from this gorgeous catalogue that will no longer be available after the 31st of August (or even earlier if they sell out beforehand!!)
