Cards for boys- little ones…and not so little ones

Today I have two male cards to share with you- Something ‘cute’ for the little boys and something a little more’ grungy’ for the older ones.

Here’s the one for the little dudes.  I just love the adorable image on this one from a stamp set called “Little Friends”.  When I created this card I applied Soft Suede Ink to the embossing folder before running it through the big shot.   This created an interesting effect where the ink was transferred to most areas of the cardstock except the raised areas!

Just love, love those polka dots.  What do you think!?

My next card was a bit of an experiment.  It was one of those cards I created in a big hurry and I just layered and stuck things down and hoped for the best….the end result is something I thought would be suitable for the older boys.

In this second example I stamped on the grey background piece before embossing and added lots of splodges of platinum glimmer paint.
