I {heart} Raspberry Tart

One of my favourite patterned paper packs is Raspberry Tart.    I have a few projects to share where I have used the Raspberry Tart paper.  Isn’t it yummy?

The first is a waterfall card.   I have used predominantly Rose Red and Regal Rose cardstock with a touch of Kiwi Kiss cardstock.  One of the things I love about this paper is the variety of patterns and how you can get a totally different effect if you used a different balance of colours (Eg Use a piece of Kiwi Kiss cardstock as your card base instead)  I simply punched the butterflies I had out of scraps on my workspace-  Oh- and if you haven’t heard the news yet- The butterfly punch is staying!!!  It was featured in the Summer Mini Catalogue- and I am thrilled to let you know that it is still possible to order this punch even though it isn’t displayed in the main catalogue or New Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue.

The next project is a little gift bag.

It is easy to assemble a cute little bag like this- in a few simple steps

Step 1: Cut your designer series paper to 30cm x 18cm

Step 2: Score lines (using your bone folder) at 13cm and 17cm

Step 3: On both sides of the bag- trim in 4cm at both fold lines.  (For this type of bag I like to trim the tabs in on angle so that the tabs sit nicely when the bag is assembled)

Step 3.  Mark points on each of the 4 outer corners (on the short side) at 1cm from the edge.  You could use a pencil but I prefer to just leave a little dent in the paper using my bone folder.

Step 4:  Score a line from that 1cm point down to the bottom of the tab.  I have drawn a white dotted line to make it easer to see the fold lines.

Step 5: Place sticky strip on two of the large triangular tabs to hold your bag in place.

I cut the handles for this bag using my Circle Scissors Plus-  I was so thrilled when I found out that this item would also be available in the Autumn Winter Catalogue.  If you had this item on your wishlist and didn’t get an opportunity to order it before the end of March- it is still available.  Be sure to get in touch if you would like to order your Circle Scissors Plus and Cutting Mat.

Rather than discarding the circle made when cutting the handles- I turned it into a tag

The Beautiful stamped image on this tag is from the Razzle Dazzle Stamp set that featured in the Summer Mini Catalogue that finished at the end of March.    I’m sorry to tease you with a stamp set that you aren’t able to order but I wanted to show how the off-cuts can be turned into something lovely too!

I have another little item I wanted to show you but I can’t seem to find the image on my computer! I will be sending out a newsletter next week so I will be sure to track down a photo and include it in my newsletter (complete with measurements)  If you are not already on my newsletter list- please be sure to sign up to receive your copy (box on the right hand side)

Cheers!

Miriam
