Summer mini goodies
The other day I got a chance to have a play with some of the goodies from the Summer Mini Catalogue. I really love the Designer Series papers in this catalogue and used some lovely rose red patterned paper from the Bali Breeze set to create a nice bright card for my daughter’s little friend for her birthday party on Tuesday. It was a great match for the wrapping paper I had used to wrap her gift.
I also got a chance to use my two new punches- the scallop edge punch and the scallop square punch. The scallop square punch has a co-ordinating stamp set. I used one of the stamps from this “Say it with Scallops” set, however the greeting on the stamp says “I just can’t thank you enough” but I wanted it to say ‘Happy Birthday” I simply used a marker to colour directly on to the stamp and made sure I didn’t colour the sentiment. I later added “Happy Birthday” from another stamp set (Birthday Best) and lined it up inside the square using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.
The SU chipboard brackets are from a SU card-making kit. I simply coated them in ink and then two way glue and dipped them into glitter- dazzling diamonds. In the photo- the glue hadn’t had time to dry properly….but I love how sparkly and girly the glitter came up!
