Finally…..my Christmas cards

Oh no! I’ve done it again…..I promised I would be back soon to post photos on the blog and just haven’t had a chance to do it! I’m sure you can all relate to how busy things get right before Christmas.  Here they are……..a bit later than I expected but at least it is still before Christmas.  My Christmas cards have all been posted and if you are reading this and yours hasn’t arrived in your letterbox yet….then please close your eyes!

After  helping the kids to make their own cards for their 60 odd school mates and knowing I would need to make the same if not more for family and friends and get them in the post prior to Christmas…….. I decided that I wouldn’t make things too complicated.  I decided to stick to three main colours, Real red, Kraft and Certainly Celery (or more specifically the patterned paper prints in certainly celery)  I used the “Paisley” background stamp and the “Season of Joy” Stamp set.    It has become a bit of a tradition for me to include photos of my four best creations on the front of the card- so I obviously wanted the photos to be the main feature

I included the following quote inside each card

Christmas- that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia.  Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance- a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved “~ Augusta E, Rundel

  1. Miriam – Love your cards. I always like to include a photo of my 2 on the front of my Christmas cards and its nice to get some different ideas for cards with pics. Great photos! Cheers and Season’s Greetings, Sue

  2. I’ve only just discovered your blog (I’m on EB too!) and just had to tell you how gorgeous your cards are – and the kids are very cute too!
I’m another Mum of four who is a SU! Demo – I joined in October 2008. We seem to have parallel lives! LOL
Thanks for sharing your work – you have been added to my favourites. :-)
