My kids have been invited to quite a few birthdays lately. I didn’t realise how many people we knew celebrated their birthdays in December. As I have been so busy I have found myself whipping up a birthday card moments before we rush out the door- and as a result I don’t have a photo of the cards. Here are two cards I have actually remembered to photograph….
First one is for a little playgroup friend who turned THREE. Gotta love that “Pretty Princess” stamp set for litle girls and of course the card would not have been complete without some Dazzling diamonds glitter. The colours are “pretty in pink” and and “soft sky“. I also made use of two of the new punches from the summer mini- the scallop edge punch and the scallop square punch. Her name was stamped using the school book serif alphabet
The second card I have to show was for my niece, Hannah who celebrated her 12th Birthday yesterday- Happy Birthday, Hannah!
For this card I combined the ‘old’ and the ‘new’- The patterned paper “Summer Picnic” is from the “Spring Mini Catalogue” (interesting choice of patterned paper for the SPRING mini when the name of the paper range has the word SUMMER in it! At least I don’t feel so bad using it at the beginning of summer!) The stamp set and punch is from the NEW SUMMER Mini- I used the stamp set “Friendly flowers” as well as the scallop edge punch. The main colours in this card are old olive, real red, and bashful blue
