Birthday cards

I hosted a cardmaking workshop at my place last night and the ladies all left with 10 cards each.  I’m sure that they had a lovely time and I was really pleased with how everyone’s cards turned out!  I’m looking forward to catching up with more of you this week.

With preparations for the cardmaking workshops this week as well as various other things I have had on- I didn’t get a chance to upload the photo of my sister’s birthday card.  Thank goodness I have a spare 5 minutes to do that now.     I also made a birthday card for my son’s lovely Education Assistant -using a similar design.

For both cards I have used the Carousel notes from the Summer Mini Catalogue.  It is sad that there are only 3 weeks remaining of the Summer Mini (and also the main catalogue)- but I am SO excited about the release of the new catalogue!     I have placed an order for some catalogues which will arrive just in time for the official release of the new catalogue on the 1st of April.

Anyway, back to the cards……. I have used different coloured patterned paper from the same pack of Afternoon tea patterned paper pack.  I thought it was interesting how different the cards turned out by teaming the colours in the patterned paper pack with a few other colours.  I have used  the “It’s your birthday” stamp set and in colour double stitched ribbons (which are all on the retired list)
