Chillin’ with Dad

I have used the “Sweet Slumber Speciality” Paper pack. (pg 133) This is the first time I have used this pack of patterned paper and I’ve gotta say I love Stampin’ Up!’s cardstock weight patterned paper. I have added a small amount of distressing to the patterned paper strips including using the distressor edge from the cutter kit, the mat pack to pierce holes, tearing, light crumpling and running the patterned paper through the crimper. The chipboard letters (on board lots of letters pg 147) have been coated in a layer of Sahara Sand. The jumbo pewter eyelets (page 148) were added using the crop-a-dile (page 155) On the top right hand side I have added brads from the build-a-brad kit (page 159) You simply cut a circle of patterned paper (or a small stamped image) to fit on top of the brad base. I punched out matching patterned paper using the 1/2 inch paper punch. You then add the clear bubble to the top. What is neat about this is that you can make your brad suit your layout or card so easily and saves digging through craft supplies to find something that may complement the design! I can see myself using lots of these.

This is really lovely Miriam. So simple and effective and yes they do look really relaxed and content. Don’t think I’ve seen a multi photot layout of yours for a while now, great to see as I am always looking for inspiration on multi photo pages as you know!Jx
