Something special with Circle Circus

We received Circle Circus as one of our stamp sets at Convention.  I have been back from Convention for a few weeks now and have only just recently had a “play” with this set- and I’ve gotta say that this is definitely going to become one of my favourite sets.  What I love about it is that it is so versatile.  You could create backgrounds and also use the pieces to create a feature on the card or layout.   Using the variety of Stampin’ Up! circle punches and the scallop circle punch you can create lovely layered effects.

I made the following card on behalf of my local playgroup committee to thank our outgoing Committee President.  I wanted it to look special for a special person and I like to think that Circle Circus helped me to achieve that!

The cardstock base is Kraft (a favourite of mine and also the recipient).  I have also added touches of basic black cardstock and riding hood red.  I have used some Urban Garden Patterned Paper (132)and Riding Hood Red Ribbon from the Dress Up Ribbon Originals Pack (page 150) as well as a designer button from Button Bouquet (page 151)  I couldn’t resist using the Build a Brad Set I mentioned in my previous entry!  The greeting from “Three Little words” and elements from “Circle Circus” have been embossed in clear and black embossing powder for added impact!

I’m off to take my kids to swimming lessons but later this evening I plan to sit at the computer to write up the tutorial for the card I made for my Mum on Mother’s Day.  I might also have a bit of news about the promotion for this month…..so please check back later!

  1. The word that comes to mind is ecclectic!!! Almost hypnotic in some ways. Mad card Miriam!!

  2. Oooh, I love this card! I think my love of circles is going to make this a must-have set. Can’t wait until I can get my hands on this one! :)
