Thank you cards

A little while ago I wanted to thank a couple of special people and these are the cards I made for them.  I used a selection of the Cottage wall designer series papers and the “Thank you” stamp from the “Fresh Cuts” stamp set.

The main feature in the centre is a die cut shape called “Sweetest Stems“   When you run this die through your bigshot, not only does it cut out the shape but it also embosses it.  You can even flip it over so that the image is ‘debossed’

STAMP SETS: Fresh Cuts

CARDSTOCK: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive Whisper White

PATTERNED PAPER: Cottage Wall

PUNCHES: Oval, Scallop Oval, Eyelet Border Punch

OTHER: Bigshot and “Sweetest Stem” Die

And now for something a little more feminine

and now for something a little more feminine.

The patterned paper is “Walk in the Park” (available for only 4 more weeks before the Spring Mini ends)  The Rose is from “Fifth Avenue Floral“  I heat embossed the outline and then used regal rose and blender pen to watercolour the image.

The ribbon is Baja Breeze Double-Stitched Grosgrain.  The greeting (from “Fresh cuts”) is enclosed inside a label holder from the Hodgepodge hardware tin.  I have used the Eyelet Border Punch to add a nice feminine trim on either side of the patterned paper.

…….and again I used the Heart to Heart punch inside the card.  What a simple yet effective way to create a nice feature inside the card!
