I’m starting to get into the Christmas spirit.  I’ve not actually done a lot to prepare..but it is on my mind and I’d love to help you prepare for Christmas.  I  just love Christmas time!  I have a Christmas tag making class coming up this Saturday and I have a few spots remaining-so why not consider booking a spot for yourself and start getting organised for Christmas. I also  have another fun Christmas class for later this month but I need bookings to be made THIS WEEK!

“Reindeer Poop” and “Rudolph spare noses”

I’ve been making my little packages of reindeer poop and Rudolph spare noses for  years and they are always a huge hit with both young and old.  Come along and make some little bags of Christmas fun for the Children’s school friends, for Christmas stockings or fun Christmas surprises.   15 little bags of Christmas fun for $25 OR 30 bags for $45

WHEN? Saturday 24th November
WHERE? Address supplied when you book your spot.
TIME? 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start
COST? $25 for 15 OR $45 for 30
DETAILS? We will be making and decorating bag toppers to go on top of 15 bags of Christmas fun for $25 OR 30 bags for $45.  I fill the reindeer poop bags with maltesers and the Rudolph spare noses with jaffa lollies- however the class fee does not cover the cost of lollies.    You will also be supplied with cellophane bags however you can fill them with your own lollies in your own time.    When you book your spot can you please indicate whether you would like to make 15 or 30 bags so enough supplies are ordered to cater for all participants. Can you also please indicate whether you intend to make only Rudolph’s spares, only reindeer poop OR a combination of both so the correct coloured cardstock is ordered.

IMPORTANT- I will obviously need to order the cellophane bags and more cardstock and adhesive than is normally required for a regular cardmaking class.  As a result I will be making 2 requests.
a) EARLY RSVP is required.  Please Book your spot by Thursday 8th November
b) Payment for the class is required in advance.  You can drop off cash in person or transfer payment into my bank account.

Please RSVP by Thursday 8th November to allow enough time to source materials

While I’m feeling ‘Christmassy”, here’s a Christmas card that participants made at a class last month.

I quite like the colour combination of Midnight Muse, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and a hint of Silver Glimmer paper (gosh I love that stuff!)   They seemed the perfect colours to go with the “Snowflake Soiree” stamp set that we used in the class.

I think this stamp set is perfect if you are looking for quick but effective Christmas cards.  The intricate design of the snowflakes are really beautiful and the detail makes your card look deceivingly ‘complicated’ …..but oh so pretty!  If you’d like to order this stamp set to make your Christmas cards- please get in touch with me on 0419 947 047 or

2011 Christmas card

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I always love the weeks and days before Christmas as the excitement builds.  It tends to get a bit chaotic- but I still love it!   Despite encouraging my lovely customers and friends to make an early start on Christmas cards I never seem to take my own advice.  So with only about a week before Christmas I commenced my cards and managed to get them posted or hand delivered before Christmas! Phew!   I didn’t make as many as I had hoped but I gave it my best shot and here it is…….

When I sat down to design my card I realised I didn’t have enough of the traditional Christmas colours I would normally use.   I had planned to convert the photo to black and white and use some of the lovely Cherry Cobbler I love so much.   As I didn’t have enough time to order some more cardstock I decided to print the photo in colour and use the colours in the photos as the inspiration for my Christmas card.   Therefore the main colours were Old olive, Rose red and Baja breeze.

Given that my daughter was wearing pink it was a great opportunity to whip out my Melon Mambo Stampin’ emboss powder and emboss directly onto the old olive cardstock.  I even mixed in a bit of iridescent ice for a bit of sparkle.  You can find the iridescent ice and melon mambo Stampin emboss powder on page 15 of the the summer mini catalogue.

Also I added a bit of sparkle with some rhinestone jewels and the gorgeous Glimmer paper which is the no-mess way to add glitter to your scrapbook pages and cards! (Glimmer paper is on page 13 of the summer mini catalogue)

I am determined to make a start on my Christmas cards a little earlier this year 🙂  Hmm I think I said that after Christmas 2010 too!
