Today I have yet another layout to share with you! I’m ABSOLUTELY lovin’ being able to get back into my scrapbooking….in case you hadn’t noticed that already!!!!  I really love working in my new “studio” (sounds fancier than a ‘craft room and sorry still haven’t taken photos…but I will…soon! )   Yesterday the layout I shared with you had a very ‘vintage’ style but today I’ve gone for fun and bright….and VERRRY pink!

The patterned paper on the base (the layer on top of the Kraft/ Crumb cake cardstock) and also the patterned paper strips under the title are from the “Sweet Stiches Designer Series Paper Pack”.  This paper pack is on page 6 of the Mini Catalogue that ends on the 31st of July.  If you’re liking the decorative patterned paper then check out the “Nursery Suite Speciality” paper pack on page 124 of the main catalogue.  You receive 2 pieces of this Regal Rose decorative paper as well as 2 sheets of a decorative blue paper and matching papers that are perfect for baby pages!

The title is made with chipboard letters from “On Board Alphabet soup” page 135 of the Main catalogue.  To work with the colours in the patterned paper I simply pressed the letters into my “Rose Red” ink pad.  The flower on the left hand side is also chipboard and comes from “On Board Mix and Match“.  In this case I’ve used a combination of ink as well as covering the chipboard in patterned paper.  I love how the chipboard in these packs come ‘raw’ so that you can coat them and colour them to suit your projects perfectly!

To finish off my page I added some paper daisies (page 140) , clear buttons and self adhesive rhinestones  (page  140)  Ah gotta love a bit of bling especially for those girly pages!

I have fallen in love with the gorgeous butterfly dies in the new catalogue.  There is the “Beautiful butterflies Bigz Die”  (pg 154) where you can cut out 6 lovely butterflies in one pass through the Big shot.  There is also the “Beautiful wings embosslits die” on page 151.  Not only does it cut out the butterflies but is also embosses them!  Love Love Love them!!!! I have used a combination of these butterflies on the card below.  The butterflies would not be complete without the beautiful NEW stick on rhinestones!  You just HAVE to get yourself some of these!

The base of the card is the gorgeous NEW Pink…… Mmm! Blushing Bride– is definitely MY kind of pink.  It is a lovely soft, dusty pink! The base of the card has a piece of “Sweet and sour speciality designer series paper”  on it.  This pack of DSP has gloss on one side of each sheet.   I love the embossed effect and it inspired  me to add an embossed section of my own on the bottom left hand corner using the absolutely gorgeous “Just Believe” stamp set.  I wanted the embossed area to be rose red- but alas we don’t have rose red embossing powder so I inked up the stamp in versamark then took this stamp and inked it up with a layer of rose red ink BEFORE stamping it onto the paper.  I then sprinkled on CLEAR embossing powder- and then TA DA rose red coloured embossing!

I completed this card for a young girl who celebrated her birthday recently….however I just checked out Just Add Ink Challenge # 38 and realised that it meets the criteria for the challenge.  To check out the other beautiful creations with pink and bling please go to http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/
